Consider Lower Cost Alternative for Petrol

One challenge that is facing our society is the increasing price of petrol, the impact on transportation and cost of living. As the price of oil has risen past US$100 (RM320) per barrel, the government is facing an increased burden in providing subsidized petrol and gas. In fact, oil price has hit US$110 a barrel because of increase in demand. The risk of supply problems and shortages could raise the price of oil even higher. Although Malaysia is an oil-producing nation, we can no longer rely on this supply just as we can no longer rely on subsidies.

As a driver, I can already predict the stress and pressure that I have to deal with if goverment increase the price of petrol. A friend of mine explained that one of the solution on how to save money spend on petrol is NGV.
NGV stand for Natural Gas Vehicle. Natural Gas is an economic source than the other alternatives such as Bio-fuel & Hybrid car. It is the best alternative to petrol because:
1. Save up to 70% on petrol cost. (Petrol price is RM1.92/Litre but for NGV is RM0.68/Litre)
2. 25% or 50% reduction in road tax. (Government approved)
3. Lower maintenance cost.

My friend who is involved in NGV business has provided a lot of information in his website at http://www.ngv4u.com.
